The municipal sport court builder your procurement team can trust
Public court projects run on clear scopes, bid-ready documentation, and a builder who delivers on schedule and on budget. As a municipal sport court builder serving Florida since 1998, Sport Surfaces has built and resurfaced public courts for city and county parks, recreation complexes, and civic facilities — a licensed, insured partner that knows how public work gets done.
From a single neighborhood pickleball court to a full recreation complex, we provide itemized estimates and specifications your department and procurement office can put straight into a bid or grant application.
Public demand is driving new courts
Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in the country, and cities and counties are adding courts to meet resident demand — often funded by state grants, bonds, and capital budgets. We help parks and recreation teams turn that demand into durable, ADA-conscious public courts built to handle heavy community use for years.

Municipal Court FAQs
Do you work with municipal bids, RFPs, and procurement?
Yes. We’re a licensed, insured Florida contractor and provide clear scopes, itemized estimates, and specifications your department and procurement office can put straight into a bid or RFP. We’re experienced with how public projects are awarded and delivered.
Are grants or funding available for public court projects?
Many Florida cities and counties fund court projects through state and county grants, bonds, and parks capital budgets — pickleball funding in particular is active right now. We provide the bid-ready documentation and specifications these applications require.
Are your courts ADA-compliant and built to public safety standards?
We build public courts with accessibility and safety in mind, using slip-resistant, impact-absorbing surfaces and layouts that support ADA access. We’ll confirm the standards that apply to your facility during scoping.
How much does it cost to build or resurface a public court?
Cost depends on the sport, number of courts, surface, lighting, and site condition. Resurfacing existing park courts costs far less than building new. We provide free, itemized estimates built for public budgeting and bids.
Can you resurface or convert existing park courts?
Yes. If the base is sound, resurfacing restores a worn public court to like-new, and underused tennis courts can be converted into high-demand pickleball courts. We assess condition during a free site visit.
How long does a municipal court project take?
Resurfacing projects take a few days; new construction runs longer depending on scope, permits, and weather. We give a clear timeline up front and coordinate with your department throughout.
Which areas of Florida do you serve?
Cities and counties statewide, with offices in West Palm Beach, Port St. Lucie, Miami, and Orlando.
