Let’s Talk About Your Project
Design, Construction & Resurfacing

Design
We lay out the court to spec and engineer the sub-base and drainage for Florida’s sandy soil and high water table, then set the color scheme and line layout before construction starts.

Construction
New courts from the ground up: excavation, base (concrete or asphalt), acrylic or cushioned surfacing, fencing, and lighting. A regulation tennis court runs 60’ × 120’; most new builds take about 2–3 months.

Resurfacing
We strip, patch, and recoat worn courts with acrylic systems, fill cracks, and bring back color and grip. Coatings typically last 4–6 years in Florida, and most resurfacing jobs finish in a few days.

Service Area FAQs
What areas of Florida does Sport Surfaces serve?
We have local crews in West Palm Beach, Miami, Port St. Lucie, and Orlando, and we’ve completed projects in Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, Orange, Hillsborough, and Polk counties. Send your city or ZIP and we’ll confirm coverage.
Where is Sport Surfaces based?
Our headquarters is at 7011 Wilson Road, West Palm Beach, FL 33413. We’ve built courts across Florida from that base since 1998.
Do you design, build, and resurface, or just one of those?
All three, in-house: court design, new construction, and resurfacing — plus repairs and tennis-to-pickleball conversions.
Who do you build courts for?
Homeowners, HOAs, country clubs, schools and universities, parks and recreation departments, tournament venues, and facilities.
Can you convert my tennis court to pickleball?
Yes — conversions are one of our most common jobs. We re-stripe or rebuild the surface for pickleball and can fit multiple courts into an existing footprint.
What’s the best court surface for Florida’s climate?
It depends on the sport and the site, but we build for Florida’s heat, humidity, and high water table — acrylic hard courts, cushioned systems, Har-Tru and clay, and more. We’ll recommend the right surface during the on-site evaluation.
Do I need a permit to build a court in Florida?
Most new builds need a county or municipal permit, and requirements vary by location (setbacks, drainage, fencing, lighting). We handle permitting as part of the build.
Is the on-site evaluation free?
Yes — a free on-site evaluation and a written, no-obligation estimate, anywhere in our Florida service range.
